J.K. Rowling took us to a magical world. And you can too.
Right up front, I’m going to call out J.K. Rowling on some of her tone-deaf and abusive political stances. It sucks seeing your writing heroes sort of disappearing in front of your eyes, but that’s sometimes how the world works. I believe trans rights are human rights.
Still, Rowling is the mind behind the Harry Potter Books and the screenplays for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, among other titles. There’s a lot we can learn from her worldbuilding, character development, and process. If you can separate art from the artist, I think this could be inspirational for you. If you can’t, I totally get it.
Check out this video from Outstanding Screenplays and let’s talk after the jump.
