USC’s School of Cinematic Arts Teams Up with Sony to Help Aspiring Filmmakers

Sony is helping the aspiring filmmakers of USC’s film school with a new and exciting collaboration.

Although this is No Film School, we are always supporting filmmakers no matter what path they take to make their visions come to life on screen. And we just learned Sony is partnering with USC’s School of Cinematic Arts to support the young aspiring filmmakers enrolled at USC.

USC has one of the most recognized and prestigious cinematic arts programs anywhere in the world. Former alumni from the program include Geroge Lucas, Ron Howard, Robert Zemeckis, John Singleton, Jason Reitman, John Carpenter, and Jeff Cornenweth, and we can expect to see that list of great filmmakers grow as the years go on.

USC’s and Sony’s partnership will immediately be adding a variety of the latest Sony Imaging equipment to USC’s course curriculum, ranging from the Sony Cinema Line of cameras including VENICE 2, FX9 and FX6 models, and a lineup of Alpha mirrorless cameras. Creative tools such as Pro Audio, high-resolution displays, and access to cloud services will be available for students in the program to use.
