Spike Lee has many projects that almost happened, but none I’d rather see more than his Jackie Robinson biopic. It was set to shoot in 1996 but never happened. Denzel Washington was going to star as Robinson, but he felt old for the part, and it sort of just fell apart from there.
Over the pandemic, Lee released the screenplay via his Instagram. And now, you can check it out.
