Earlier this year, Godox unveiled the affordable SL300II, a 300-watt daylight-balanced LED light. Now the company is bringing out a bi-color version.
The Godox SL300II Bi light is similar in many ways to the standard version, including dimming capabilities from 0-100%, maximum power of 320 watts, and a high color rendering of 96 CRI and 97 TLCI. There’s also a built-in fan to keep things cool and a Bowens S-mount for all sorts of accessories.
What the new version adds is a bi-color COB LED feature, giving cinematographers and content creators more options. Let’s dig in a bit deeper to see if this is something you want to add to your toolkit.
Daylight, Nightlight
While the output of the Godox SL300II Bi is less than its daylight-balanced sibling, creatives will still get 44900 lux with a reflector at 3200K (at around 3 feet or 1 meter). Even though the standard version will get more than double that at 99300 lux, you get a color temperature range of 2800K to 6500K with the new release.
