Mark Gurman, writing for Bloomberg, is reporting Apple will hold its next iPhone event on September 7, 2022. During the event, which Gurman says will be livestreamed in lieu of an in-person event, Apple is expected to kick off what he calls a ‘busy fall product season’ by announcing its latest line of iPhone 14 devices.
Gurman doesn’t elaborate on what new features, improvements and specifications we can expect from Apple’s next-generation iPhone models, but reports from the various rumor sites suggest there will be four new iPhone models: an iPhone 14, a larger iPhone 14 Max, an iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The non-Max devices are expected to have 6.1″ displays while the Max models will have 6.7″ displays.

Other features expected include upgrades to the camera system and a new front-facing camera array that will use a pill-shape cutout instead of the current notch design. It doesn’t seem Apple’s ‘Mini’ line will make its way into the iPhone 14 lineup. So, if you’re still looking for a smaller device, you’ll have to opt for the year-old iPhone 13 Mini.
Apple’s usual ‘invitations’ for the event are expected to go out on September 1 and the new devices are expected to be available on September 16.
