Are you schooled in writing? What is a plot of a story—do you know?
Many people think the plot of a movie or TV show is just the major events that happen. But they’re wrong. There’s a distinct story structure that sets film and TV apart from novels, short stories, and every other medium. What I love about the plot is that you can learn it, and you can get so good at it that you won’t waste a ton of time on it later. You can get so good at writing basic plot you can also be very attractive for employment in film and TV.
So how do you get there? Today, we’re going to go over what a plot is and is not. We’ll look at a plot diagram, check out some sequences, and chat about the events in a story. Sound good?
