Today, drone manufacturer Autel Robotics introduced six new-and-improved versions of its EVO II series drones. Two new smart controllers, Smart Controller V3 & Smart Controller SE, that are compatible with and power all models, were also unveiled at IFA 2022 – a consumer electronics and home appliances conference in Berlin, Germany.
A new Live Deck video streaming feature, along with a conversion accessory called the EVO II Live Deck 2, will also be compatible with every new drone. Autel has taken the best features from its EVO II V2 series and improved upon plus incorporated them into the V3 series. The models getting these upgrades are as follows:
- EVO II Pro V3
- EVO II Pro RTK V3
- EVO II Dual 640T RTK V3
- EVO II Dual 640T V3
- EVO II Pro Enterprise V3
- EVO II Dual 640T Enterprise V3
Autel promises the V3 series will have improved optical imaging, up to 6K, higher-quality low-light imagery, greater heat dissipation for longer operating times, and multi-GNSS positioning capabilities for more precise flying along with enhanced transmission.
Autel will also be exhibiting at next week’s Commercial UAV Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. It hasn’t been confirmed if they’ll be covering the new V3 series or revealing any more details. DPReview thoroughly covered the Autel EVO II V2 in a review published a few years back if you’re interested in seeing what these drones’ predecessor offered. We also covered the Nano+, Autel’s sub-250g drone, which is still lacking in some areas. Hopefully Autel will be dedicated to improving its latest line of drones.
