DC Studios has a new face… actually, make that two. A career that started out with Troma and indie horror is in a position of major power in the mainest of streams.
After a long hunt for someone to oversee the DCEU since Walter Hamada stepped down as the head of DC Films earlier this year, Warner Bros. Discovery has finally found the two persons for the job.
Variety has announced that James Gunn and Peter Safran have been tapped as the co-chairmen and co-CEOs of DC Studios. This newly created production entity will oversee DC properties for Warner Bros. Discovery starting Nov. 1, 2022.
“We’re honored to be the stewards of these DC characters we’ve loved since we were children,” said Gunn and Safran in a statement.
