Sigma’s 17mm F4 DG DN is a lightweight compact lens with all-metal construction, a clickable aperture ring and thoughtful design touches such as a magnetic lens cap and metal lens hood. It’s either a wide-angle prime for full-frame cameras or a walkabout 25.5mm equivalent on APS-C models. It measures 64mm wide and 49mm long (2.5 x 1.9″) and can focus as close as 12cm (4.8″) to give a 1:3.6x magnification ratio.
It’s not every day that a 17mm prime comes across our desk, so we took it to the streets to see how it performs in the real world. Check out the samples to see the image quality for yourself.
