A Summicron in Japan: Leica SL 35mm F2 sample gallery

Earlier this year, Leica announced a new and more compact 35mm F2 lens for its full-frame SL cameras (and, naturally, other L-mount cameras from Panasonic and Sigma). This spring, DPReview’s Jason Hendardy took a copy of this new Summicron lens to Japan for some street photography and came back with some spectacular sample photos. All the images were captured with the Leica SL2-S.

Let these straight-out-of-camera images whisk you away to Japan, if even for a brief mental vacation. Oh, and don’t forget your souvenir – DNG files you can play around with for yourself.
