We’ve taken the Nikon Z8 to the weekly racing series in London’s Crystal Palace and up into the hills of Derbyshire’s Peak District, to give an idea of its performance in a range of circumstances. These images represent the beginning of our testing as we work towards our review.
In addition to shooting JPEGs, we captured a handful of HDR HEIF files when shooting in challenging lighting condition. These don’t currently work in our gallery system but here are some download links if you wish to try viewing and editing them on an HDR display.
HEIF images
The thumbnails below are SDR JPEGs which do not represent the linked images accurately. You will need an HDR display and compatible software (eg: Adobe Camera Raw) to correctly view the HEIF images.
Please do not reproduce any of these images on a website or any newsletter/magazine without prior permission (see our copyright page). We make the originals available for private users to download to their own machines for personal examination or printing (in conjunction with this review); we do so in good faith, so please don’t abuse it.
