The 6 Best Captain America Action Scenes

When I was growing up, Captain America dominated my comic book collection. I loved reading his “Heroes Reborn” storyline and “A Man Without a Country.” I was so excited when Marvel started making Cap movies.

Chris Evans was the perfect casting, and Anthony Mackie has been fun as The Falcon, and now picking up the mantle.

Across all the movies, there have also been some great fight scenes. Today, I want to unpack 6 of my favorites.

6. Chasing the Hydra Agent (Captain America: The First Avenger)

The first Captain America movie launches us into Cap and his powers with this chase. It’s such a smart way to get into a character and prove the transformation.

5. Airport Battle (Captain America: Civil War)

While not strictly a Cap-only battle, this is his movie, and he takes the limelight in this face-off. I love how this movie builds on his legacy, and the fight scenes in it build character as well.

4. Cap vs. Cap (Avengers: Endgame)

America’s ass fighting a past version of himself was so funny. It also had us seeing double. It’s such a good idea and moment to relieve and add tension.

3. Elevator Fight (Captain America: The Winter Soldier)

I could have picked this as number one. Genuinely, it’s one of the best fights in all of Marvel. It has emotion and anger, and it’s shot so well and so exciting. It’s crazy. There were two others I liked even more.

2. The Bucky Fight with Iron Man (Captain America: Civil War)

Cap’s best friends are out to kill each other, with him in the middle. It’s a crazy battle that has images ripped right from the comics. It really adds a layer of dread to the violence.

1. Final Battle against Thanos (Avengers: Endgame)

I’m not gonna lie; I cried during this scene. The emotion here is spot on. We get all the futile punches and then get ones that land. It takes you through how exhausting this battle is going to be and gives you an “Avengers assemble” that will rattle your bones.

Summing Up The 6 Best Captain America Action Scenes

Captain America is my favorite Marvel character, and I’m excited for Captain America: Brave New World. I think he’s such an interesting character that he can capture a lot of policies and worldviews in one swoop.

These action scenes display the best of Cap kicking butt on the screen. They’re my tops, but if you have ones you like, I want to hear about them.
